Prague Easter Markets (20.03. - 10.04.)
The markets represent tradition lasting for centuries and they include a lot of cultural events and performances by folk ensembles, choirs and bands from all over the Czech Republic as well as from abroad.
On the Old Town Square, you can see people decorating painted Easter eggs (‘kraslice’ in Czech) or weaving a traditional whip made of a batch of willow branches (‘pomlázka’ in Czech). You can admire traditional laces and embroideries, glass, wood carvings and wooden toys.
